A meat lovers delight. Tender Roast Beef topped with Onions, Peppers, Cheese and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
1 Pound of Rare to Medium Rare Roast Beef from the Supermarket deli (Have them slice it thick).
1 Small Loaf of French Bread
1 Green Pepper sliced into strips
1 Large Onion cut in half and sliced into strips
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Sliced Provel or Sliced Provolone Cheese
Powdered Garlic
Seasoned Salt
Directions
Sautee Green Peppers and Onions until soft.
Cut French bread lengthwise leaving 2/3 for bottom piece and 1/3 for top piece
Hollow out most of bottom piece to the point where it becomes a bowl of sorts.
Chop Roast Beef and toss with Seasoned Salt and Garlic Powder.
Spread tossed meat across bottom of hollowed Bread evenly.
Top meat with Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Top cheese with Onion and Green Pepper mixture.
Top Onion and Green Pepper Mixture with Sliced Cheese.
Put top section of bread on loaf and wrap in Aluminum Foil.
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. When ready, bake sandwich for 12 minutes.
Cut and serve.
