Another quick meal the kids will love. Bacon, Hamburger, and a creamy blend of cheeses makes this a go to recipe for nightly dinner with leftovers for lunch.
Ingredients
1 Pound of Ground Beef
5 Slices Chopped Bacon
1 Yellow Onion Chopped
3 Cups of Beef Broth
1 8 Ounce can Tomato Sauce
3/4 Cup Heavy Cream
1 Tablespoon Paprika
1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon of Louisiana Style Hot Sauce
2 Teaspoons of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper
12 oz. Large Shell Pasta or Elbow Macaroni
8 oz. Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/4 Pound of Velveeta Cheese block cut into small cubes.
Chopped Parsley or Green Onion, for garnish
Directions
In a large Dutch Oven or Large Lidded Pot, cook the ground beef, bacon and onion over medium heat, stirring, until the ground beef is cooked through, the bacon is rendered and the onion is softened, 12 to 15 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the beef broth, tomato sauce, heavy cream, paprika, hot sauce, salt and pepper to the beef mixture. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium. Add the pasta and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente, about 8 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and gradually stir in the cheeses until fully melted and creamy. Garnish with green onion or parsley, if desired.
Pro Tip: For Gluten Free, use Gluten Free Pasta
