This is my favorite Air Fryer recipe. Nothing tastes better than a tender and juicy steak with a crispy pepper crust. This is truly mouth-watering!
Pro Tip: To save money, buy a whole beef packaged Tenderloin and trim it yourself. Once the silver is trimmed, cut a roast out of the thickest part of the loin for this recipe and freeze the rest in sections for numerous other recipes. Trimming the silver off the loin is easy and there are numerous videos available showing you how easy it is (Silver is a tough skin-like membrane that runs through the loin and will not melt during cooking like fat will, so it must be removed).
Ingredients
3 or 4 Lb. Beef tenderloin Roast (From a local Butcher or see above tip and buy a whole loin and trim it yourself)
1/2 to 3/4 Cup of Coarse Ground Peppercorn
2 Teaspoons of Garlic Paste or make your own
3 tablespoons of Canola Oil
Can of Canola Spray
Directions
In a small bowl whisk together Garlic Paste and Canola Oil until it becomes a creamy loose mixture. add more oil if necessary.
Brush or rub garlic mixture over entire surface of roast coating generously.
Pour peppercorn onto a flat surface and roll the roast over the peppercorn while pressing peppercorn onto Roast until entire Roast is completely covered with peppercorn.
Place roast on a parchment paper covered baking pan and allow to rest until ready to cook.
Spray Air Fryer cooking surface with Canola Oil and turn on to its highest temperature setting.
Spray entire roast with Canola Oil Spray right before adding roast to fryer when its ready.
Cook for 10 minutes and check internal temperature with a meat thermometer. ( Check temperature every 3 to 5 minutes until it reaches your desired temperature. Rare 115F, Medium Rare 120F, Medium 130F, Medium Well 145F and Well done 155F).
